Babcock is a private company working in partnership with Waltham Forest. We are an LA with a new spirit of embracing change and forward thinking in all areas of education. After being judged by OfSTED as a highly satisfactory LA, together we have developed a new sharper focus on school improvement. Our aim is to give the best support to children of all abilities and from whatever background.
Our target is to raise attainment above national levels over a four year period, and in particular to reduce under-achievement by specific groups within the Borough. Therefore, we need to raise standards in teaching and learning even further and are keen to attract and retain well qualified and committed teachers to build on the successes the LA has recently experienced, in order to provide a quality experience for our pupils.
Our schools are interesting and varied and as a teacher in Waltham Forest, our welcoming and diverse community will provide with you with an opportunity to be part of an LA that never stands still and which offers constant challenges and rewards. You will have the opportunity to experience a vibrant mix of cultures and gain a wealth of experience in a London Borough close to the Capital but with the green belt on your doorstep.
You will be fully supported in developing your career with us through an extensive programme of continuing professional development and opportunities for promotion.
We hope you will take this opportunity to apply for a teaching post in Waltham Forest and help us to improve the life chances of all young people.
