    Individuals Request for Disclosure of Information held by Babcock

    Babcock holds information about those who live, work and/or are schooled in the area in many forms and at many locations. The form below is for use by individuals to request the disclosure of information held by Babcock from which they the individual or those for whom they bear legal responsibility can be identified.

    Please note: Under the Data Protection Act, schools not Babcock are responsible for the disclosure of records maintained by the school. Please apply directly to the school concerned, in writing, stating your wish to access your information under the terms of the Data Protection Act if the the records you wish to access are solely held by the school. Babcock  has no power to co-ordinate data protection requests on behalf of any school.

    Information Sharing

    Your School is the Data Controller for the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998. This act regulates how we obtain and use information about individuals. The information you supply is being collected for the purpose of providing an education service but may be used for wider purposes. When you sign this document you are consenting to that use. The information may be shared with;

    • the London Borough of Waltham Forest,
    • those with parental responsibility,
    • education establishments,
    • other LAs,
    • the Department of Children, Schools and Families (DfE)
    • diocesan bodies
    • and any appeal panel that is convened with respect to your application.
