Advice and Support

The Babcock School Improvement Service works in partnership with schools and settings to improve the quality of teaching and learning for all pupils from the most vulnerable to the most able. The service provides a combination of the core Local Authority role, services that are focussed on schools with the greatest need, the promotion of schools' own strategies for improvement through partnerships and networks.

Our vision is for every school to provide a rich and stimulating curriculum that genuinely promotes creativity and the achievement of high standards across all areas. Our vision is for pupils to enjoy learning and achieve as well as they are able, so that they fulfil high aspirations as adults.

Our services are key players in this work with School Improvement Partners (SIPs) leading on links with every school in the borough. Partnership working with schools is well developed through our area partnerships and the strategy for Children's Centres.
