Head of TDA visits Waltham Forest

Howard Kennedy, Director of Delivery for the Training and Development Agency (TDA), was the keynote speaker at the Waltham Forest Primary Deputy Headteacher Conference organised by Babcock Waltham Forest Workforce Team.

The Deputy Heads attended the yearly residential conference on 5th and 6th March as part of an ongoing programme of training and development.

Christine Ewers, Babcock WF Workforce Manager said, “We were delighted that Howard Kennedy attended our conference and shared his vast leadership experience with Waltham Forest Deputy Heads. His thought provoking speech focussed on the priorities for education in a fast changing world in which new technologies will continue to change the way we work”.

Amongst the other areas of discussion at the Conference were Gifted and Talented provision in schools, the Teacher Learning Academy, Change for Children, the development and provision of Masters Courses and work-life balance.

The next training event for Waltham Forest Deputies will take place on 19th May 2009.
