The BCSE has nominated Babcock a finalist in the Best use of ICT to create a learning community category. The 2009 awards saw 170 entries across 13 categories, with 20 finalists announced.
Forest Hill School in Lewisham was the case study, where Babcock’ bespoke innovative ICT solution has successfully delivered a transformation in learning and teaching in the 1500 pupil secondary school.
Said Ian Fordham, Deputy Chief Executive of the BCSE: “The entries this year are a welcome opportunity to celebrate great work by architects, suppliers, construction firms, local authorities, teachers and pupils, despite these challenging times.
“There was – rightly - robust debate amongst the judging panel. The result is a short list which can act as a gold standard reference point for anybody involved in the school design and construction process.”
The BCSE Industry Awards Dinner will be held on June 24 at The Emirates Stadium in London when the winners will be announced. Full details of the awards
