Access Services

Access Services manages applications for admission to Waltham Forest’s schools, for free school meals and transport, for the disabled student allowance and for student loans.

Change for Children

The Change for Children Team leads on coordination and support for the local Healthy Schools Programme (including PSHE and Food in Schools Programme) and the Learning Mentor/Learning Support Unit programmes.

City Learning Centre

As part of a national DfE initiative, the City Learning Centre (CLC) is a high quality facility containing state of the art ICT equipment for curriculum use. It offers a service to schools, colleges and the wider community, which includes CPD and training, advice and guidance, outreach work at primary and secondary level and projects, as well as the use of the centre

Communication Services

The Communication Service manages media relations, this website and other services that help the local authority to communicate important education-related information to schools and the public.

Education Business Partnership (EBP)

Waltham Forest Education Business Partnership (EBP) works closely with a number of partners to provide support and activities for young people aged 5-19 around work related learning and enterprise

National Primary Strategy

The Primary Strategy team provides consultancy support, school based and central training to schools through the delivery of the National Primary Strategy.

National Secondary Strategy

The Key Stage 3 team provides support, consultancy training, and leadership to schools through the delivery of the Key Stage 3 Strategy.

Research Services

The Research team provides research and statistical support, helping schools improve their services through the collection and strategic use of performance data and fulfil their statutory reporting obligations.

SACRE

Babcock Waltham Forest works in partnership with SACRE (Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education)

Traveller Education Service

The Waltham Forest Traveller Education Service (TES) consists of one advisory teacher, and one Romani speaking community outreach and development worker. They work to assist schools to fulfil their responsibilities for the education of Traveller pupils.

Workforce Team

The Workforce Team is responsible for leading the strategy for the development of the whole school workforce and providing services to schools in relation to teacher recruitment, teacher retention, leadership and data analysis.
